Confederating sites dedicated to St. Michael in Europe
Where does a collaboration start?
St. Michael still represents a unifying element for European territories and citizens. Around the network of places dedicated to the Saint, a work of federation of the different sites and territories involved has begun, through a common slow tourism project and thanks to common animation actions, to renew the existing link between these different territories.
A path that can lead far. The creation of a tourist itinerary linked to San Michele has all the potential to unite and enhance the work of the various operators along the route. Tourists should be able to experience not only the path, but also the different territories they pass through, discovering the products and attractions that characterise them.
The heritage of the micaelico sites thus becomes a fundamental lever for the promotion of the local tourist economy.

LAG actions
Case studies
Greater clarity for users and a recognisable identity for the network of sites. With a small case study on a section of the Via Micaelica towards the Cenischia Valley, our LAG is working on identifying the best methods and solutions to be adopted to address the problems associated with the creation of a route for itinerant tourism, including inconsistent signposting and signage.
Workshops
By promoting experiential exchanges between tourism operators in the territories of the partner LAGs, the aim is to encourage and the creation of shared tourism packages and the development of new content involving the various local actors. This is made possible through comparison and sharing meetings and guided workshops.
Educational tours
Working closely with other partners, our LAG promotes knowledge and information on St. Michael’s by organising experiential exchanges and educational tours on its territory.
